After considering expanding into kitchen or even home decor, the company decided to stick to gardening and design kids gardening tools.
The idea came after many of ROCA's customers started sharing stories and even pictures of them working in their gardens using their new garden tools and with their kids tagging along, playing with the new grown veggies and reading the gardening guide to mom and dad.
The main concern for the company was to create a product that can actually be used by children in the garden, for real gardening projects, and not just as a set of plastic toys that would break or just not work in a real garden setting.
This is how they came up with a set of tools designed to appeal children and made with strong durable materials.
Another big concern was how to get children interested in gardening, and they came up with the idea of including an insect guide: "Top 10 Good Insects for Your Garden", this way gardening is not only going to be about plants and soil but also about learning facts about all the different insects that live in the garden.
What made the kids gardening tools a no brainer for ROCA Home is the huge impact gardening has on children's health. With children's nutrition under assault by fast food and junk food industries, making kids grow their own food is a way to make them more aware of what they eat in an engaging way.
"Children that grow their own fruits and veggies are a lot more likely to eat them" said ROCA CEO when announcing the new product launch.
So with this new children line ROCA Home is looking to expand and create a product line for the whole family to enjoy together.
