(SanDiego.CityRegions.Com, October 15, 2015 ) San Diego, CA -- The RUNderground, a running media and physical products company announced today the upcoming launch of their new website, an online running publication set to be released on October 31st of this year.
"We are so excited to announce the upcoming launch of our website. What started as a conversation between running partners, soon became a passion project and quickly transformed into something much bigger and far-reaching. We are thrilled to finally share our vision with the world," RUNderground CEO, Joe Coppolino shared in a phone interview.
The RUNderground will feature many topics in the running genre, including breaking news in amateur, collegiate and professional ranks, gear, apparel and shoe reviews, recommended running locations and destinations throughout the world, injury prevention and treatment strategies, an online community and ecommerce store. The website will also include links to company social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
"This is a Worldwide Running Collective," expressed Faith Moore, Director of Subscriber Relations. She went on to share, "Our chief objective is to provide a vehicle to unite runners across the globe through collaboration and community."
The RUNderground offers members of their online community the opportunity to create user profiles, create groups, send private messages between members, share articles and post photos and videos. A unique aspect is that members are encouraged to submit articles and images on multiple running topics for immediate publishing consideration.
"The RUNderground motto is For Runners…By Runners. Think of the far-reaching possibilities. You could post an article on how you resolved shin splints using some home remedy. Then a fellow runner from Italy could read your post, use your strategy and get back out on the road. It's a great way to give back to the sport that has given you so much," Coppolino shared.
