(SanDiego.CityRegions.Com, October 21, 2015 ) San Diego, CA -- The RUNderground, a Southern California sports media and products company announced today the addition of Emad El-abdallah to its professional running team. Members of the pro team enter multiple races through the year representing The RUNderground. They also test and evaluate available products and product concepts still in the development stages.
"We are excited to welcome Emad to The RUNderground family," stated RUNderground Co-Founder, Joe Coppolino. "We feel he has all the characteristics we want in a team member and we are looking forward to watching him meet and exceed expectations."
El-abdallah, a recent graduate of the San Marcos State School of Business and Entrepreneurship is currently working in management for Wireless Advocates, a Temecula Based Communications Firm. In his free time, he runs.
Emad, a relative newcomer to the race scene, has run in three half marathons this year including the San Dieguito Half Marathon, the La Jolla Half Marathon and most recently, the America's Finest City Half Marathon. He is currently averaging about 1.5 hours for each half marathon and improving with each completed race.
El-abdallah is currently training for his first ultra-marathon, which will be his longest competitive distance yet. The Lake Hodges 50K Trail Run is a member of the Southern California UltraRunners Grand Prix Series. Emad will be filming a short 4 part series on his preparation leading up to the race. The series will be available at The RUNderground when the website launches on October 31st. This will be the inaugural broadcast of The Mad Chronicles, a series featuring preparation for races of all distances.
It was also announced that El-abdallah will be testing the new RUNderground AthleTecs bone conduction headphones during the race to evaluate the long distance durability and functionality of the unit during a long-distance race. His video review will also be posted.
