Entering the Potter?s House ? A life shaped by God
by Mary York
25 Apr 2018 at 1:41pm

We had just arrived on the mountain for a huddle at camp May Mac, a secluded Santa Cruz Christian camp.

Small contingents of my wife’s family, fifty-five in all, was just getting out of their cars and were busy hugging and shaking hands. The Santa Cruz Mountains are beautifully placed between the beach town of Santa Cruz and the major metropolitan area of San Jose, California. by Mary York
20 Apr 2018 at 5:28pm

Granite Hills players would say that there were some poor calls by the refs -- and their fans will use stronger language to the same effect. Their Helix opponents would say it was about the energy levels from the start. Neither team would be entirely wrong.

In one of the most contentious boys volleyball games of the season, the Helix Highlanders (6-0) hosted the Granite Hills Eagles (15-3) on Friday, April 13. Both teams were undefeated in league when they gathered on the court. The Eagles left with a ‘one’ in the loss column.

Pastor Doug was running late as always as the line at the bank drive-thru began to lurch forward. He had to make a deposit for the church, speed home to eat dinner then be back out on the road to make a pastoral visit at Mercy Hospital. Even though the bank’s drive thru was three lanes wide, it was Friday and everyone was making deposits before the weekend.

Prophets building bridges for humankind
by Mary York
11 Apr 2018 at 2:32pm

Prophecy, getting information on events before they happen, can be insightful, a bit disturbing and frightful all at the same time.
