The A.S Outpost original commercial grade paracord 550 which started the brand is gradually being replaced by a certified higher grade, U.S Armed Forces version. A.S Outpost has left the commercial grade paracord behind to replace it with higher grade Mil-C-5040 550 cord and colors that are all military grade but a step up from the everyday military green. This new color will be popular with military personnel, survivalists, preppers, government agents, tactical groups, survival instructors and more.
Known to both the civilian and military world as parachute cord, the paracord itself is certified through the armed forces and field tested through a local survival schools. It is guaranteed to hold 550 lbs. The uses are endless and extremely popular with the parachutist, rock climbers, extreme survival schools and others who use paracord 550 under extreme conditions.
