(SanDiego.CityRegions.Com, May 07, 2012 ) SAN DIEGO and SANTA CLARA, CA – Technology Services World 2012 opened in Silicon Valley today with an Innovation Tour of the TSW|EXPO, two powerful keynote presentations, and the much-anticipated TSIA Power Hour sessions covering the latest industry research and trends.
First up, TSIA vice president of technology research John Ragsdale conducted a tour of the most cutting-edge technology and services on the TSW|EXPO floor, focusing on the association’s spring Recognized Innovator finalists.
Next, two keynote sessions were presented, the first by J.B. Wood, TSIA president and CEO, who discussed what today’s services leaders must do to win internal mindshare across the organization. The second keynote of the day featured Thomas Lah, TSIA executive director, who shared tactics service organizations are employing to solve the challenges of embedded services organizations.
Following were seven concurrent “Power Hour” sessions, where TSIA staff presented results from recent TSIA research in the areas of education services, services revenue generation, social media, channel optimization, professional services, service technology, and services benchmarking.
At the close of the day, delegates were welcomed back into the TSW|EXPO for a networking reception to mingle with peers and talk with some of today’s leading technology solutions providers.
Earlier in the day, four pre-conference professional development workshops were held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with presenters from Value and Pricing Partners, Call Center Group, Pretium Partners, and FT Works.
