(SanDiego.CityRegions.Com, July 28, 2012 ) San Diego, CA - The San Diego Chargers is most notably known for being the only NFL franchise to hail from Southern California. Since there have not been any NFL teams from Los Angeles since 1994, it is up to the Chargers to try and bring the trophy home to Southern California for the 2012-2013 season.
The Chargers, who play in the Western Division of the American Football Conference, will be playing their home games at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The team has one of the most varied histories in the NFL. In 1992, the franchise became the only team to start a season with a 0-4 record but nevertheless make it to the playoffs. In 2010, it also became one of the five NFL teams since the 70s to rank first in both offense and defense in the same season but without making it to the playoffs. However, the Chargers have yet to win a Super Bowl title. Loyal fans have only to wait and see how the Chargers will perform this year.
The Chargers will play against the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, and the San Francisco 49ers in the preseason games, which will be held in every week of August. They will play home for the first two games, and away for the last two. Then on September 10, the team will play away at Oakland, CA against the Oakland Raiders and will mark their first game for the season.
San Diego Chargers tickets for preseason and single games until the end of December 2012 are now available from JRTickets. Like most NFL season tickets, though, these are expected to sell out fast.
Ticket agency JRTickets has also updated its ticket offers to include all other NFL games this season. Football fans can now also buy New Orleans Saints tickets, Buffalo Bills tickets, and tickets for all other franchises and in all venues covered by the 47th Super Bowl season.
The ticket broker also announced that tickets for the 2012 NFL Hall of Fame game are also available. In August 5, the New Orleans Saints and the Arizona Cardinals will battle it out at the Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio. It is expected to become a highlight for this season.
